Building on Experience
ESP draws on its track record as a producer of some of the very best meltblown in the business.
Our management team has produced high-quality meltblown sorbents for many years. During that time, we successfully built and brought several meltblown facilities to market.
In 2005, we established our current state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Chicago. Operating 24/7, we have been supplying master distributors in full truckloads with some of the finest quality meltblown in the business.
Since then, we became the fastest growing sorbent manufacturer in the country. Facing sell-out capacity, we needed to expand production.
In response to sky-rocketing oil prices and the demand for first-class sorbent, we decided to develop an alternative to meltblown. ColdForm™, which utilizes recycled and renewable-resource fibers, met this challenge. It produces superior products and reduces dependence on expensive foreign oil.
In fact, the sorbents produced with this new technology are so unique and address the sorbent industry’s needs so well, we feel it may be the way of the future. They actually perform better and offer greater value than traditional meltblown.

New Name
At ESP only the name and products are new. The management team at ESP helped start United Sorbents, first in Seattle and then in Chicago. The company was divided in March 2006, each company operating completely independently of the other.
When we discovered that the similarity in names was causing confusion in the marketplace, we decided to sell our name to the Seattle-based company. Also, a new name seemed an excellent opportunity to reflect our focus on innovation and the launch of a truly evolutionary new product line.

ESP’s management team has built and run numerous sorbent lines during their many years in the meltblowing business. Innovation has been a trademark of the team since the late 1990s when they introduced air-laid technology to the market. Now they operate the most advanced meltblown production technology and the first ColdForm™ line in the business.
