As of February 15, 2007, we became “Evolution Sorbent Products, LLC”, or ESP for short. We decided to change our name to eliminate confusion with a similarly named company based on the west coast. As a solution to the confusion, we recently sold the “United Sorbents” name to the folks in Seattle and decided to rename ourselves Evolution Sorbent Products, LLC—ESP for short. But apart from our new name, we’re the same company.

As you can see, our web site has changed. Still a work in progress, the site will be expanded to include additional convenience features. Soon our customers will be able to place on-line orders, which will be followed up with a phone call to complete the final details.
Our product numbering system now more fully describes each item and the technology used to produce it. Unlike any other sorbent manufacturer, we now make four different product types; melt blown, ColdForm™, rag rug and needle punch. We needed a new numbering system that clearly describes each product. ColdForm™ is a new sorbent manufacturing technology the management team at ESP has developed. As its name implies, it is a cold process. Unlike the meltblowing process, it does not require huge amounts of energy to melt the plastic to form the fibers. This process enables us to utilize different combinations of fibers to optimize the performance of each type of product. These new sorbents outperform meltblown by a wide margin.
